SRX4620231: RNA-Seq of Phytophthora fragariae isolate NOV-9 infecting Fragaria ananassa: 72 hours post inoculation
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina HiSeq 4000) run: 173.9M spots, 52.2G bases, 19.8Gb downloads

Design: RNA extracted with CTAB method, sequenced externally by Novogene
Submitted by: NIAB-EMR Genetics, Genomics and Breeding (NIAB-EMR GGB)
Study: Isolates of two closely related phytophthora species causing either red core disease on Strawberry (P.fragariae) or Raspberry root rot (P.rubi). Genome sequencing and assembly
show Abstracthide Abstract
Investigating the genetic variation between isolates of two closely related pathogen species. By understanding the genetic controls of pathogenicity and variation in virulence phenotypes, the breeding of resistant varieties of the host crop plants can be aided. Comparisons between the two species can also be examined to understand the evolutionary history of these two pathogens and potentially shed light on the appearance of host specificity.
